2019 - Alaska Cruise - Royal Princess

June 6, 2019 (Saturday)  - Left Kansas City early in the morning arrived in Vancouver, B.C. Canada via Salt Lake City.  8:40 am to 2:17 pm.  Slow moving through customs and then even slower waiting for our luggage.  Transfer to ship by 3:30 just in time for the Muster Station Drill (The term "muster" means the process or event of accounting for members in a military unit).  All is well and then off to get the "must have" pizza on deck 14 - it is cold weather!

Our cabin was with balcony, however, this time it was smaller inside than previous times.  The the balcony and the view were still perfect.  Also we enjoyed the free laundry and free coffee and other drinks (elite perks)!

6 week old to-be sled dogs brought on ship to be socialized.  Many people got to hold and pet the puppies.  They just laid quietly when not being petted or held.  Must have had a good workout before coming on board ship.

Enjoyed the dinners in the dining room with some fun people during the trip - what the saw and what they didn't see.  We ate with people from California, Washington, and Florida.  Often we went to the Horizon Court for the Buffet.  Lots of good vegetarian and vegan options.

Had some yummy veggie burgers at Tim Hortons.

Then on to Salt Lake City
Finally home around midnight as the plane from SLC had door problems so we had to wait for another plane to come from Portland to carry us on to KCI.
All together great time as we badly needed some R&R time.  Read five books - the best was "Where's There's Hope" by Elizabeth Smart.  Also finished a knitting project making a pair of socks.
